Quality Assurance Testing

Melrose Health:

  • Melrose Laboratory SpectrometerOperates a fully functioning, modern, on-site Quality Assurance/Quality Control laboratory managed by highly trained staff. This laboratory functions as the ultimate authority for allowing products carrying the Melrose label into your home. No Melrose product is ever released without the appropriate documentation and authorisation indicating that the highest standards for quality have been met.
  • Employs a variety of controls, from written raw material and product specifications to in-process controls and testing before a product is released for shipment.
  • Tests every batch prior to release. Rejected materials are immediately sent back to the supplier. Pre-delivery samples of raw materials ensures only the highest quality raw materials arrive at the Melrose manufacturing facility.
  • Melrose Laboratory TestingEmploys independent, third- party testing when appropriate. Melrose utilises NATA certified laboratories, operated by qualified scientists and technicians using available validated methodologies. These laboratories may also be periodically audited by Melrose to ensure they comply with cGMP guidelines.
  • Conforms to all appropriate labelling laws and regulations as required by the TGA and FSANZ or other government enforcement agencies wherever our products are sold worldwide.

Cleaning

Cleaning is an important every day job for the production staff at Melrose We use food-grade, environmentally friendly green cleaners to sanitise the equipment between batches. Each step of the cleaning process is guided by strict standards and double-checked by a trained supervisor. Cleaning is monitored by our quality assurance staff, using environment monitoring contact and settle plates.

Premium Packaging

Recycle LogoMelrose products are packaged in high quality Glass and Plastics. In particular we use opaque packaging for all of our Flaxseed Oil to prevent photo-oxidation. All Oils have the head space flushed with nitrogen gas to prevent oxidation. All Melrose packaging is 100% recyclable to help the environment.

For further information on the plastics used by Melrose please read our article "Is there a problem with plastics?" (~56kb).

Melrose products feature a range of tamper evident measures such as Tamper-Tel caps, and shrink seals to ensure the integrity of the product. You are advised to not use the product if the bottle seal is missing, torn, or damaged in any way.
