Melrose has developed an alternative to Margarine and Butter, The Omegacare range of table spreads is high in Omega 3 and very low in saturated fat. They are not hydrogenated, not interesterified, not heat treated, contain minimal natural Trans fats, no cholesterol, are non dairy, and GM free.
Omega Care Gold Table Spread
Omega Gold is made by an entirely different process to margarine and butter. Margarine and butter require at least 20% saturated fat (hard fats) to form a solid matrix. Butter already has over 50% saturated fat and margarine requires hydrogenation or interesterification to produce hard saturated fats. Omega Gold is made by a very simple cold process using advanced emulsion technology. The process is patented.
Organic Omega Gold is made from organic sunflower and flaxseed oils; it is rich in essential Omega-3 nutrients and has the lowest saturated fat content of any table spread on the market. Omega Gold has an optimal balance of the good fats - Omega-3 alpha Linolenic, Omega-6 & monounsaturated fats and it contains less than 6% saturated fat.

Omega Blend is made from Sunflower, Olive and Flaxseed oils blended together in a balanced ratio rich in Omega-3 and Omega-6 essential fatty acids. Balance is important for optimum health. It contains only 8% saturated fats and 11% Omega 3's - more than twice as much as in any other margarine or table spread.

- 10 months from date of manufacture.
- Store in a refrigerator.
- Do not freeze.
Use Melrose Omega Care spread as you would any other table spread. It spreads easily on sandwiches and is great for baking as it mixes well with flour and other ingredients. It is not recommended for frying or roasting as it will separate and splatter.
