Omega-3 alternative to butter and margarine
Omega Blend is made from canola, olive and flaxseed oils blended together in a balanced ratio rich in Omega-3 and Omega-6 essential fatty acids. Balance is important for optimum health.
Omega Blend is non dairy and cholesterol free.
It does not contain any chemically altered fats such as hydrogenated, trans or interesterified fats.
It contains only 8% saturated fats, compared with a minimum 20% saturated transfats in margarines and butter mixtures, on a total fat basis.

How will Omega Blend benefit me?
The major benefit comes from Omega-3, of which there is 11% in Omega Blend - more than twice as much as in any other margarine or table spread. Omega-3 fatty acids produce the anti-inflammatory prostaglandins (anti-arthritic).
Omega-3 fatty acids disperse aggregated platelets in the blood thereby reducing the risk of cardiovascular disease.
How is Omega Blend different to margarine?
Omega Blend is made by an entirely different process to margarine and butter. Margarine and butter require at least 20% saturated fat (hard fats) to form a solid matrix. Butter already has over 50% saturated fat and margarine requires hydrogenation or interesterification to produce hard saturated fats. Omega Gold is made by a very simple cold process using advanced emulsion technology. The process is patented.
Can I cook with Omega Blend?
Omega Blend is great for making cakes and muffins as it is so soft that mixing is done quickly and easily. It is not recommended for use when frying foods as it will splatter.
Omega Blend is best kept in the refrigerator. Freezing is to be avoided as it will cause the oils to separate.
