Overview

Melrose Juice Concentrates are produced in Australia by extracting the juice from sound, mature fruits. The juice is then pasteurised and evaporated under vacuum.

The Organic Apple Juice Concentrate is certified organic by BFA. The Pear Juice Concentrate is not certified organic.

Natural Sugars Retained

Concentrating the juice by evaporation retains the natural sugars and minerals. There are no preservatives, artificial flavours, colours or sweeteners added. Concentrated apple and pear juices contain approximately 72% natural sugars.

100's of Uses for Cooking - Melrose Juice Concentrates are ideal as a sugar substitute: 1/2 cup juice concentrate = 1 cup sugar.

Are they high in calories?

Apple & Pear Juice Concentrates are about 1/3 lower in calories than refined sugar by weight.

I am a diabetic can I use it?

As a diabetic you must monitor sugar intake and Melrose juice concentrates are made from fruit which are fructose rich. Fructose is a sugar and will raise blood sugar levels.

Does it need refrigeration?

These juices do darken over time but their sweetness does not alter. The natural sugars are self preserving so it is not necessary to refrigerate after opening.
