Baked Red Velvet Oats

Have your cake and eat it too with this insanely delicious red velvet inspired baked oats - which is basically cake for breakfast that is actually good for you! Fibre-filled oats and banana matched with a scoop of our antioxidant rich Essential Reds - there is nothing this breakfast can’t do.

Ingredients:

½ tsp coconut oil
½ cup rolled oats
1 banana
1 egg
1 tbsp honey
2 tsp Melrose Essential Reds
½ tsp baking powder

To serve
¼ cup Greek yoghurt
2 tbsp dark chocolate chips

 

Method:

1. Preheat the oven to 180C and grease a small ramekin with coconut oil.

2. Place oats, banana, egg, honey, reds and baking powder in a blender and blend until smooth. Pour into the prepared ramekin and place in the oven for 20 minutes.

3. Serve with yoghurt and dark chocolate chips.
